Guided tours with registration
The museum tells you the history of the Venosta Valley Oberland and the tragic fate of the villages of Graun and Reschen, the hamlets around the lakes and the Stockerhöfe farms near St. Valentin, which were flooded by the reservoir in 1950. The famous church tower in Lake Reschen also reminds us of this.
In addition to a photo documentation of the lake damming in 1949/50, the destruction and reconstruction of the villages of Graun and Reschen, you will also find a collection of sacred objects and figures.
Guided tours between mid-June and September, Thursday 17:00 to 18:30.
Between July and August there is an additional weekly guided tour on Tuesdays from 10:00–12:00. Special tours and group appointments are available on request.
